Principal and Administrator's Message
Welcome!
Welcome to St. Irenaeus Parish School! We are so glad you are here and invite you to learn more about the people and programs that make our school community so special!
At St. Irenaeus, we believe that every child is a unique and precious gift from God. In partnership with our school parents, our role is to help each student discover their God-given gifts, develop their talents, and grow into the person God is calling them to be. We do this through our vibrant Catholic faith, a strong academic program, and a community that values discipleship, stewardship, and leadership.
Our theme this year, “Many Gifts, One Body,” is a beautiful reminder that each of us has something meaningful to contribute. Our students, families, faculty, and staff each bring their own gifts and talents, and together, we form a community that is stronger because of our differences. We are committed to creating a school where students feel supported and inspired to grow, not only as learners, but as people of faith. We strive to help every child who walks through our doors leave St. Irenaeus with a strong faith foundation, a love of learning, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learning about our programs. We look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you to St. Irenaeus Parish School!
Kindly,
Mrs. Lina Calderon, M.Ed.
A Message From Fr. Mark Cruz, AM
Dear Parents and Grandparents,
Welcome to Saint Irenaeus Catholic School!
Rooted in faith and tradition since our doors first opened in 1963—shortly after the founding of Saint Irenaeus Parish—our school has been a cherished part of the Cypress community for generations. We are honored to walk alongside families as we nurture young hearts and minds through a strong Catholic education grounded in Gospel values.
Whether your family is already part of our school community or you are prayerfully discerning a school for your child, we invite you to discover Saint Irenaeus as a place where faith, academics, and family come together. An education at Saint Irenaeus is an investment not only in academic excellence, but in the spiritual and moral formation of your child.
Under the dedicated leadership of our principal, Mrs. Stella Costello, our faculty and staff are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where every child—from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade—is known, loved, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential. While we maintain high academic standards and a strong curriculum, we recognize and honor the unique gifts and developmental journey of each student.
At Saint Irenaeus, we believe that Catholic education is a true partnership. The Church reminds us that parents are the first and most important educators of their children, especially in matters of faith. Your involvement and witness are essential to the life of our school, and we are grateful to partner with you in forming disciples of Christ.
Guided by the vision of Catholic education in the Diocese of Orange, our mission is to provide students with a rich faith formation and the skills needed to live lives of goodness, service, and success. It is a joy and privilege to share in this mission with our families.
Thank you for visiting our website. We warmly invite you to come and experience Saint Irenaeus Catholic School in person—tour our campus, meet our teachers and staff, and speak with our families.
May God bless you as you seek the very best education for your child.
