A Word from our Pastor
Welcome to St. Irenaeus Parish School!
As pastor of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, I welcome you to our parish school website.
I hope that you will find this website both useful and informative for all of the events,
activities, educational curriculum and other links vital for a well informed and vibrant
community of students, parents, teachers who are supported by our parishioners and dedicated
community leaders.
We will, in 2011, celebrate our 50th anniversary as a parish.
One of our exemplary ministries has been our parish school wherein children are
educated in the faith, arts, and sciences. At St. Irenaeus Parish School we are
dedicated to developing life-long learners who live their faith through commitment
to Catholic values, stewardship, and academic excellence.
I am so proud of our students, our teachers, our families; the traditions that
reflect our past and the Spirit that promises a future filled with hope and promise.
With Mrs. Darlene Hembreiker as principal, we begin a new era of communication and dialogue
between the parish, school, parents and all who share our dedication to Catholic education.
I sincerely believe that a parish is most vibrant when it has a parish school which is a
sign of hope and promise in our midst. The presence of a school community enriches our
daily prayer life and brings a unique vitality to parish life. Whether it is a special
liturgical celebration, studying Scripture, providing food for the homeless, having a
school as part of our parish has made us richer and allowed us to deepen our investment
in the future. I look forward to working with all of you this coming school year.
I am your in Christ,
Fr. Patrick Moses,

A Word from the Principal
When I came to St. Irenaeus School as a teacher 20 years ago, I
experienced first-hand that being a Catholic school encompassed more
than just teaching Religion. Our students embraced the many
opportunities to develop their faith - by taking on service projects as
outreach to those in need, by beginning each day with prayer and
special intentions, by "giving alms" during the seasons of Christmas
and Easter, and most of all, by being kind and loving to one another.
Our school families were involved in all aspects of the school, from
helping with classroom retreats, serving on various committees and
boards, serving at student body masses, and providing spiritual
opportunities for parents to grow in their faith.
We continue to see this special bond as our families support one
another in times of joy and sorrow, from providing meals to families
experiencing health challenges, to offering a friendly hand to new
families through our Adopt-a-Family program. Catholic Identity is
indeed alive and well at our school-and I am privileged to share in
this special community of "Faith-Filled Active Catholics".
God Bless!
